Nasruddin and Nuclear Tests ⚛️

Nasruddin found the Minister of War celebrating:

“Wonderful news! We haven’t exploded a nuclear bomb in years!”

Nasruddin embraced him.

“At last! You got rid of them!”

The Minister looked horrified.

“Of course not! We have more powerful ones now.”

Nasruddin stepped back.

“Then you stopped making them?”

“Certainly not. We keep improving them.”

“Without testing?”

“We use computers. Simulations. Experiments. We can make sure they work when needed.”

Nasruddin smiled.

“Extraordinary progress! So you keep building more powerful bombs?”

“Naturally.”

“And you spend enormous amounts of money making sure they can destroy cities?”

“For our safety, of course!”

Nasruddin nodded slowly.

“But you don't explode them?”

The Minister smiled proudly.

“Exactly!”

Nasruddin looked impressed.

“Aha! How civilized! First we build the end of the world. Then we congratulate ourselves for leaving it in the box.”
