Nasruddin and the Thief
ByNuno Delicado
They caught a man stealing coins from the market box and dragged him to Nasruddin.
“Judge him!” they demanded.
Nasruddin looked at the man and asked,
“Why did you steal?”
The man shrugged.
“I saw the officials do it every week.
I just assumed it was allowed.”
Nasruddin nodded thoughtfully.
“Ah. Then he is guilty of only one thing.”
“Which is?” the crowd asked.
Nasruddin pointed at the officials.
“Poor training.”
Wishing everyone an honest International Anti-Corruption Day – a good reminder to get better “training”... and to “train” others better.
